The PageNumbering macro is dialog driven and allows the user to control page number formatting.  With the macro, the user can control the placement (header/footer), alignment (left,center,right,inside,outside), character formating (bold,underline,etc.) as well as insert text to produce formats such as, Page 1 of 14.

  23. For convenience, the user can save the settings so the macro will always start with the user's preferred style.

  25. A toolbar is included.  It contains 4 buttons, each of which runs the macro.  Pick one you like (or use your own), copy it to another toolbar and delete the PageNumbering toolbar.

  27. To install, unzip PAGENUM.ZIP to the Winword6 template directory (usually C:\WINWORD\TEMPLATE), start Word6 and open PAGENUM.DOT.  This document contains further installation instructions and instructions for use (2 pages).
